Never Give Up - "No Matter What"

Have you consider giving up?  I know that I get those thoughts from time to time.  What keeps me going is I think about how far I have come, and the effort, and sacrifice that I have made to get to where I am at today.  I can't decide to give up every time something gets challenging.  Most of the time it's through those challenges that I discover knew methods of doing things.  It becomes discouraging, and frustrating when I refuse to change my perspective of how I do things.  I personally have failed more times than I can count, but it doesn't really matter when I finally get it right.  I look back sometimes and laugh at myself, because it wasn't so much the challenge that made it difficult, but my refusal to change.  God will bring me to the blessing, and we must make the commitment within that it's going to be ours.  No weapon, circumstance, person or thing will stop me from getting where God has destined for me to go.  If I have to crawl I am determined to get there.  Today let's make a commitment to ourselves that we are going to be the best version of ourselves, and walk in the flow of God.  We may face some challenges, but we will not give up.

Your Blessing Instruction Manual

What if I told you that I could give you a set of instructions on how you can begin to live a life filled with abundant blessing.  No! I did not come up with this formula, and looking to take no credit for anything.  I simple am sharing something with you that I learned from the bible.  A power concept of experiencing abundant blessing.  Before you stop reading bare with me for a moment.  Look at life as if you are one giant seed, and how you live is actually distributing a particular type of seed.  When you decide to live a life filled with selfishness, greed, lies, and deceit it's as if you are planting these types of seeds everywhere you go.  Sooner or later the seeds that you have sown in various places that you have traveled will begin to grow.  Now because of what you have planted you should not be surprise to what begins to grow.  We are blessed everyday, but if you look closely some people are experiencing what we call supernatural blessing.  They receive this because of the type of seeds that they plant in their everyday lives.  They are the type of people who go around sowing, and blessing others, and in return blessing begin to find, and follow them.  This year (2015) lets do something remarkable. Let's do something that will not only bless our lives, but anyone who comes in contact with us.  Let's become one big blessing to others.  NO, I am not talking about money, but what we can begin investing in the lives of those we come in contact with everyday.  A kind word, a hug, listening to someones problems, giving someone a ride, serving dinner to the homeless, or even buying lunch for someone.  The list goes on and on.  This year I am making a declaration to be a blessing to anyone who comes in contact with me.  Anyone willing to join me?  This is going to be my best year yet.

"Being Busy Is No Excuse"

Wow, the year has just come, and gone so very rapidly.  We are now knocking on the doors of 2015, and in the month of December I start doing some reflecting back, and preparing to move forward.  I have been one business person the last couple of months. Being busy is great right - isn't that what makes us seem as if we are productive.  Well I have come to understand that we use the word being busy as an excuse for not doing whatever it is that we should be doing.  I have to admit that I have been so caught up in so many things these last couple of months that I haven't taken the time out for myself like I should.  What does this mean?  They're things that I do daily that keeps me mentally, spiritually, and physically grounded.  Look at it this way.  I have to charge my cell phone daily.  If I missed a day of charging my phone I run the risk of it going dead.  I believe this is the same for myself.  I become more irritated, frustrated, quick to take offense, and the list goes on when I lose sight of keeping myself grounded.  I really don't want to fall into the trap of always using the term I am busy when I should make time to do certain things in my life.  Someone told me recently that when someone tells you that they are to busy, and forgot something what they really are saying is that whatever it is the forgot was just not that important.  I got some work to do, and I am talking about working on myself.  Lastly at the end of each year I come up with a theme for the ministry, and my personal life that I will focus on the whole year.  This year it was "Kingdom Building".  In my next blog I will talk about more about this.

"They Broke In My Place"

On September 1st of this year God blessed me with an opportunity that I had on my heart for years.  Opening a barber shop/hair salon.  Over the summer I was blessed with this opportunity, and much work has gone into it.  The investment of time, money, hard work, and working with others has been an enormous challenge that I have had to face.  Giving people opportunities only to discovery that they want a hand out.  One thing that God has reinforced through this new venture is that many opportunities does present itself, but people are not willing to do the work required or stay dedicated to the task at hand.  Last night I got home early from all my daily activities, and as I sat down my cell phone rang from a 800 number that I didn't recognize.  The number called, back, and I refused to answer because I was going to take this opportunity to rest.  The same number called on a friend of mine, and I thought to myself may I need to see what's going on.  I come to find out that someone had broken into the barber shop/hair salon(Kingdom Kutz & Hair Salon).  I got dressed went over to discover that someone had through a brick through the front door window trying to steal a 40inch television.  I didn't get upset, but realized that anytime you are pressing forward to do some worthy cause to assist others the enemy will always come up against your cause.  Over the years I have learned that the opposition is actually telling you that you are moving in the right direction.  Why would the enemy even be bring opposition to someone already on his team.  Today I was bless to have the repairs done, and the shop looks even better than before. Actually it's even more secure now.  What seemed as a terrible situation turned out in my favor as the hand of God moved like He always do.  They broke in  my place, but was unable to take anything.

"Live Life On Purpose"

In life we face many challenges, but what if I told you that as each challenge that comes in your life is an opportunity or a stepping stone to where God is taking you.  Some days I feel like giving up.  Some days I want to stay in the bed with the covers over my head.  Other day I don't want to be bothered.  Dealing with those feelings of inadequacy pushes you towards greatness.  No matter what I keep on running. No matter what today I will keep on striving.  NO matter what today I am determined that if I keep on trying I will make something of my life, and influence others.  Take a look around today; listen to the news; read the new articles, and you will hear that someone decided that today was going to be the day that they give up.  No, no, no today is not going to be that day for me.  I am going to lace up my sneakers, and run and live life on purpose.
